Grants, Funding, Hackathons… All three of these things allow you as a developer or even a project manager or a researcher to participate in blockchain and crypto, create your ideas and then possibly win prizes.

Here are the hackathons that you can get involved in in the month of August and September.

The first hackathon has one million dollars in prizes and this is from the Near Protocol. They have a hackathon that’s called meta build and you can win one million dollars in prizes. You do have to register today august 27th but if for some reason, this blog takes a while to get uploaded maybe you can still try to register and see if you can get in.

I think that is super exciting that they do have so much to give away in prizes so you should definitely participate even if you just want to learn and understand how a hackathon works.

It might be a few weeks it might be a few days where you come together and you try to create a product. This hackathon runs from August 27th to September 12th and they’re encouraging builders to come in and you can join this hackathon even if you don’t have a team you can register as an individual or you can register with a team and you can even say that you’re looking to join a team as well.

The next hackathon that’s happening between the months of August and September is one from Chainlink and Filecoin. Chainlink is a protocol that allows developers to access off-chain data in a decentralized manner and Filecoin is also decentralized file storage. You have to register by September 2021 which gives you time to think about what ideas you can create.

The next grant/ hackathon I want to talk about is one from Polkadot. You might be familiar with Polkadot this is a blockchain that aims to solve the interoperability problem by using side chains and is created by one of the ex-co-founders of Ethereum. You have to register by September 9th and the event is until November 11th.

If you found this blog helpful let me know if you would join any of these hackathons and if not what is stopping you from joining a hackathon? personally, I feel like I don’t have enough time but I do want to start one really soon so if I do I’ll let you know how it goes but until then see in the next blog.
